Artifact Crafting (Indiana Jones content)
While various aspects of our Star Wars expansion are being looked at, worked on and added to, we recently took some time to delve a bit in to our Indiana Jones expansion. Here's what we've got so far:
Artifact Crafting
Allows you to craft replicas of stealables after learning the recipe. (More items other than stealables will be added before this is released.)
Artifact Maps are similar to treasure maps only they are based in Tokuno.
Artifact Chests contain Blueprint pieces and Master Blueprint pieces.
3 Blueprint pieces can be combined and you will be rewarded with an Artifact Satchel that contains a random recipe for Artifact Crafting.
1 Master Blueprint and 1 Blueprint can be combined and you will be rewarded with an Artifact Satchel that contains two random recipes.
The crafting system itself is based on a players Item Identification skill. With the introduction of Imbuing with SA, Item Ident has become useful again. Training it is very simple, just click the skill and target an item.
Artifact Crafting uses various ML/SA ingredients and assuming you have learned the recipe for the replica you wish to craft you will also need:
Boards/Logs
Artifact Ore
Artifact Ore can be created by smelting a player's gold coins. 1,000 gold = 1 Artifact Ore and you can smelt up to 5,000 at a time.
The majority of the Replicas that are crafted will retain the color of the wood that was used. There are a few that won't get colored like the Skinned Goat for example.
Getting an Artifact Map is fairly easy. Players can visit the Vesper Museum and speak with Grant the Museum Guard to obtain a Museum Retrieval Investigator talisman. Equipping this talisman allows players to locate members of the Crimson Raiders who have been stealing artifacts from the museum. They are a murderous groups of bandits, but they are having trouble selling the items they have stolen. As such, most of the items are still being carried in their backpacks! Simply "steal" the item back and return it to Simon, Marcus' assistant, inside the Vesper Museum and he will reward you with an Artifact Map.

Do we need to target the exact tile for the chest or does the mining bonus tiles work?

Yeah I meant digging them up. I had a lvl6 map that was kinda NW of Zento and tried a huge area tile by tile with no luck.
