In-game item donations

Ok - this keeps happening and I have to re-iterate:

Please DO NOT donate premium gear into the new player donation box.

Items such as these:

Yeah, that's an ancient vampire robe (Super rare), Elder and Patrician Vampire Gear (Also quite rare) and a reptalon (Which you need considerable skill, gear and power to get). And a taming 105 PS.

It is not beneficial in the long term to hand out this sort of gear to new players. It devalues items that should be worth several, perhaps tens of million in gold. And, to be perfectly honest, pushes me towards the belief that, with the exception of the Ethy and PS, such items should be removed altogether from the game.

Is there anyway to track who donated those items? I'd like to know so I can find them and have them donate them to me

Well, I don't have any issue if they wish to give such items to players, personally. But the donation box simply cannot be used in this way. God, I remember on the first shard I'd played I was just super-happy to find minorly LRC gear in there.

As it is, though, we're being forced to modify every custom item/non-artifact like Tokuno/Mondain's Legacy arty, so that this stuff cannot be donated. And that is a lot of work for us, when our time could be better spent on the expansion that we're working on.

I cannot underline enough for everyone concerned here: Please do not donate this supremely powerful gear, it ruins the game experience for new players. Think about it, what if you bought a game and immediately entered the code for the super-weapons? You'd zoom through the game and get bored very quickly, that's what.
