Elemental Pet Leveling system
To further add to the benefits of breeding and pet leveling, we have developed an elemental leveling system that goes in to effect when a pet reaches level 35. Most pets in the wild have the potential to reach level 30 with no breeding required, others must be bred 1-3 times to reach level 30. We understand that breeding can be a pain, so we've decided to make it a bit more rewarding. The elemental pet leveling system allows the pet owner to further expand damage percentages after level 35. The elements are broken down into 4 categories: Fire, Cold, Poison and Energy. Each stage is 5 levels for your pet, so 35-40 is Fire, 40-45 is Cold, 45-50 is Poison and 50-55 is Energy. As a pet levels beyond level 35, elemental points are earned instead of ability points. You won't receive as many elemental points as you did ability points at lower levels, but that's okay because each element can reach a max of 10. You're thinking that 10 doesn't sound like much, it's actually 10% and that ADDS to a pet's already existing damage. So if a pet does 100% Physical damage, at level 35 (if you have 10 elemental points), you could add an additional 10% Fire Damage to the 100% Physical! Yes, ADD to it! Now your pet is doing 110% damage total with a chance to do up to 140% damage at level 55! Since element damage is capped at 10%, if a pet already does more than 10% damage in that element, you cannot add to it. This means that not all pets can reach a max of 140% total damage. You can easily check to see what damage categories your pet has when you lore them. Additionally we've added Virtual Armor to the lore window so pet owners will now know if they can add to it or not instead of wasting their ability points first. Another benefit of the elemental system is that at level 35, a pet's Max Level increases to level 55. Pets above level 35 cannot be bred, but will continue leveling as before.
Here's what happens:
1. Pet reaches level 34 through breeding.
2. Pet begins earning elemental points instead of ability points and is no longer available for breeding, but the Max Level automatically increases to level 55.
3. Fire Damage opens up and can add up to an additional 10% damage to a pet's total damage.
(NOTE: If the pet already does more than 10% Fire Damage, you will not be able to increase this percentage, but you can increase another element when it becomes available.)
5. At level 40, Cold Damage becomes available to add to.
6. At level 45, Poison Damage becomes available to add to.
8. At level 50, Energy Damage becomes available to add to.
(NOTE: If you do not use all of your pet's ability points before it reaches level 35, you will not have access to additional ability bonuses, only elemental, which means your pet's ability points will be converted to elemental points.)
