Vampires and Werewolves (May 15, 2011)

Vampires and werewolves have invaded The Expanse. Adventurers are warned not to travel too far out in the light of the full moon by themselves. A coven of vampires has taken refuge within Wisp Dungeon. Lead by a most unmerciful vampire lord, the coven's power is growing daily. They have taken some of the first generation werewolves as protectors during their daytime slumber.

The growing faction of werewolves are running rampant around The Expanse. With no known leader, they hunt and kill at will, virtually unchallenged. Unlucky townsfolk have fallen prey to this vicious beasts and become members of the gruesome horde, others can be found with body parts splayed across fields, their faces frozen in terror for eternity.

Several unlucky adventurers have become victims of these horrific creatures and found themselves enshrouded in a world of darkness. Able to transform into bat or wolf, and forced to feed on whatever they can find. Raist dispatched a notice to Lord British in hopes of receiving help in dealing with this monsterous event. Several weeks passed with no reply from Lord British. It seemed all hope was lost, until Raist happened upon ancient text in the Luna Library Vault describing these two warring factions in great detail, including a possible cure! Hours upon hours were spent by dim candlelight, books strewn across several tables. Raist sat in silence, mixing herbs and powders attempting to duplicate the cures. The ancient text finally revealed it's secrets to him and he was able to create a cure for vampirism and lycanthropy, but only in a very limited quantity as the ingredients were becoming harder to find. No sooner after Raist administered the first dosages when he received notice from Lord British. Professor Abraham van Helsing was enroute to The Expanse!
